How do I ignite a Duo Therm Furnace, and does anyone know of any diagrams I can look at?

I live in an apartment in a building that was built in 1979. And since winter is around the corner I don't know where to ignite the furnace. It says ignite pilot but I haven't a clue where THAT is. I am going nuts!!! Please someone help...lol
