How come I don't exhale a lot of smoke when I have a cigarette?

I realise that smoking is harmful and I am trying to stop, but I have always wondered: when I take a draw of a cigarette I only get a little bit of smoke coming back out. When I see other people they have white smoke coming out of them like a chimney?
