Is my guinea pig going blind?

The other day, I noticed that one of the eyes on my guinea pig, Starsky was kinda droopy and his bottom lid was red. I decided to sleep on it, thinking that he was fine and the next day, it should heal itself back. But I was wrong. The next day, Starsky's eye now has a little white spec. I read a little about guinea pigs going blind because of small eyes (which Starsky does have) that it isn't so rare but I was wondering if there was any way to help him or prevent it from happening to my other guinea pig, Hutch. I want to know your opinion and thoughts on this. Should I go see a vet? Does this mean his life is coming to an end?
