For those who wear and adore the cross, or use it as a focal point?

when did you hear about Jesus using some kind of item as a focal point or reminder of his God. The same goes for John the Baptist, and others in the bible. Some may refer to the history of the Levites, and Moses, but they were not aware of the power within self. Meaning, God or Satan can talk to us and through us any time. And if your not intelligent/wise enough to know the difference it could end up in the bible if you were of ancient times. Therefore any graven image used to focal your point, worship, etc... is wrong. Though shall not worship any graven images. The cross is exactly that. And why didn't others of God wear, admired, or use it as reminders/focal points of God. We are suppose to live by example of the one who walked in the Light. Jesus is the "Sun" of God, Light of the world, never involved himself around idols. He also stated go into a room and close the door when you pray. Nowhere can I find him saying take your sculpture, cross or candles with you.
