Did God ever count someones Zealousness as righteousness?

the only thing that I can relate this to is God saying ;Because thou art lukewarm and neither hot nor cold ,I will spew thee out of my mouth.When we have a heart for God we have great zeal to do His will.because our hearts are righteous.
